Mr. William Edwards, Sr., 97, of Charleston, South Carolina entered eternal rest on Sunday, December 10, 2023. He is survived by his wife: Lillian Edwards; children: Bobbie Sue Clements, William Edwards, Jr., Beverly Grant, and Elder Delores Aiken; grandchildren: Troy Beaty, Blonda Anderson, Sandra Ferguson, Yvette Grayson, Nathaniel Razzaq, Travis Fickens, Ricardo Fickens, Lateal Blake, Jamilah Razzaq, Antwan Aiken, and Corey Aiken, Sr.; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings: George Edwards (Lucille), Ernest Edwards (Jackie), Grady Edwards, Mary Edwards, Mamie Edwards, and Paul Edwards; aunt: Dorothy and Victoria Doctor; sister-in-law: Gloria Rivers (Larry); brothers-in-law: David Fickens, Sr. (Mary), Joe Fickens, Eugene Fickens, Sr. (Sophia) and Kenneth Fickens (Karen).
He was preceded in death by his parents: Barnes Edwards and Cora Edwards; daughter: Patricia Ann Simmons; granddaughter: Aisha Fickens Washington; father-in-law: Joe Fickens and mother-in-law: Lillian Doctor Fickens.
He was a retired warehouse worker.
