Life Reflections Sheila Vanessa Head Moore With profound sadness, we announce the departure of our cherished wife, mother, and sister, Sheila Vanessa Head Moore, who left us on June 24, 2025, at the age of 65. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Sheila was a radiant beacon of love, compassion, and strength. Sheila was a pillar of the Charleston, Dorchester, and Berkeley tri-county community, revered for her unwavering faith and service to the Jacksonville Road, Azalea Drive, and Charleston Metro Church of Christ. She was a devoted leader of the Widowers and Senior Citizens Committees. Sheila also founded Young Christian Voices (YCV), a Christian singing group that flourished under her leadership by traveling far and near to fill souls with fellowship and praise. One of her favorite acts of church service was her weekly devotion to developing youth in Sunday School service. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to found S & M Janitorial Services in 1982, which flourished under her leadership into one of the largest commercial cleaning companies in the area. With her loving husband joining the company, the firm expanded its offerings to include real estate and other businesses, such as a new laundromat. Her vision and dedication transformed the local business landscape. Alongside her professional achievements, Sheila was a passionate mentor to young women, guiding them towards professional success through her fashion and hat show initiatives. Her home, a testament to her exquisite taste and warmth, hosted countless memorable events and holidays, becoming a cherished gathering place for family and friends. Sheila's loving legacy extends to her devoted husband of 43 years, Errol Flynn Moore; her cherished children, Terrence Ramon Head and Valerie Renee Kearse; her precious grandchildren, Markel Head, Velincia Kearse, and Christian Kearse; and her great-grandchildren, Kilani Kearse and Kizer Kearse; her deceased parents, Mary Walker Head, and Eddie Head; her adoring siblings, Carol Miller (h. Danny), Sharon Mitchell (h. Lloyd), Angela Pointer, and Barbara Anderson (h. Charles) and deceased brothers, Eddie Head and David Head; parents-in-law, Vernell Moore and Leon Moore; sisters-in-law, Josephine Murray (d. Tyrone), Connie Conyers; brothers-in-law, Larry Moore, Michael Moore, Archie Moore, and Terry Moore; deceased brothers-in-law, Clarence Oree, Leon Moore, and Joseph Moore (w. Isabella); aunts, Caroline Brown (h. Henry), Corine Kinlow (deceased Benjamin Melvin), Earline Kinloch (deceased Isiah), Myrtle Kinloch, Mary Kinloch; godmother, Lorna Cagan, and deceased godfather Hayden Cagan. Sheila's memory will be honored in a celebration of her life, where friends and family can pay tribute to her invaluable contributions and enduring love. In the same light as Sheila lived her life, we ask that you remember Sheila through acts of kindness and community service, reflecting her lifelong commitment to others.
