Ms. Ruth Lee McClain, 76, of the Ten-Mile Community of Awendaw, SC, entered eternal rest on Saturday, March 4, 2023. She leaves to cherish her memories, her children: George McClain, Jr. (Donna), Marketta McClain Gaillard (Frankie), and Todd MClain (Sheila); grandchildren: George McClain III, Quintin McClain, To'Dasia McClain, Markella McClain, Paris James, Tori McClain, Toddjanai McClain, Travis McClain, Todd McClain, Jr., and Natoddja McClain; eleven (11) great-grandchildren; brother-in-law: Rev. Edward McClain, Sr. (Sally) and a host of neices and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Benjamin White and Helen Hutchinson White; husband: George McClain, Sr.

She retired from the Charleston County School System.
