Mrs. Rosalee Mildred Moore Smith transitioned peacefully at her home in Charleston, South Carolina, on July 2, 2024. God granted her the gift of time. She lived a full and active life for 91 years. Her Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1157 Sam Rittenberg Blvd., Charleston, SC.

Rosalee was a dedicated life member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority for over 65 years and Westminster Presbyterian Church for over 24 years. She was actively involved in philanthropic activities, including Presbyterian Woman, Presbyterian USA, Friends of the Library, and Hands of Christ.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Arthur B. Moore. She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Karen D. Smith, her son, Charles R. Smith Sr., and her sisters, Lois Moore Hillsman and Elizabeth Moore Mitchell Streeter, as well as numerous nephews and nieces who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.
