Mrs. Margaret Nelson, 70, of Awendaw, SC entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 15, 2023. The family invites you to her Celebration of Life Service to be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 3317 Meeting Street Road, N. Charleston, SC. The Interment will follow in the Church's Cemetery. Viewing for Ms. Nelson will take place on Monday, June 26, 2023, 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Rev. Bryan McNeal, Sr. Memorial Chapel, 4129 Highway 17 North, Awendaw, SC. The family will receive visitors at the home, 3876 Highway 17 North, Awendaw, SC beginning Sunday, June 25, 2023, 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM.
She is survived by her son: William "Pop" Jenkins; special niece: Shavonne Johnson-Palmer (Henry); grandchildren: Jamaal Nelson, Marquis Jenkins, Wilniyah Jenkins and Maurice Romer; great-grandchildren: Willow Jenkins, Kalli Jenkins, Kamron Nelson and Justin Nelson; and siblings: Pearl Jenkins, Gail Jenkins, Marvin Jenkins, Raymond Jenkins, and Aletha "Lisa" Jenkins. She was preceded in death by two of her grandchildren: Justin Nelson and William Jenkins, Jr; parents: Wilson Jenkins and Sue Gooden Jenkins; and siblings: Claudia E. Johnson, Earnest Jenkins, Melvin Jenkins and Joel Jenkins.
