Mr. Joseph Alexander Washington, 59, of N. Charleston, South Carolina entered eternal rest on Thursday, November 23, 2023. The family will have a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Reverend Bryan McNeal, Sr. Memorial Chapel - 4129 Highway 17 North, Awendaw, SC 29429. The Interment will follow at Mt. Nebo A.M.E. Church Cemetery, 5600 Highway 17 North, Awendaw, SC. There will be a viewing before the service on Saturday, 11:30 p.m. - 12:50 p.m.
He is survived by his father: Ernest Washington, Sr. (Jackie); siblings: Ernest Washington, Jr. (Debra), James Washington (JoRita), Amanda L. Mitchell (Jeffrey), Sheila Washington, Kizie Washington, and Ernest Washington, III; brother-in-law: Joseph Thomasson; and special friend: Tanya Smith. The Lord has blessed him with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Ola Mae Lloyd; siblings: Louis Mack Washington and Alberta W. Tomlinson; grandparents: Louis Mack Washington and Ola Mae Washington; aunts: Susie Sanders, Julie Evans, and Ritha Caves; and uncles: Louis Smith, Harold Smith, Anderson Smith, Fred Green, Sr., and Oscar Green, Jr.
