Mr. John Avery Whitmire, 84, of Ladson, South Carolina entered into eternal rest on February 3, 2023. The family will have a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Morris Brown AME Church - 13 Morris Street - Charleston, SC 29403. The Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens - 1308 Mathis Ferry Rd. - Mt. Pleasant, SC. He is survived by his children: Claudia, Claudette, David (Regine), Anthony (Angelia), Orlando, Mai (Kevin) and Reginald (Ecolia); grandchildren: Tiphine, Aderian, Shain (Cynthia), Nadia, Toni Renee (Travis), Avery, Ikeda (Issac), Santwan, Alexandria, Jenny, Kathy, Jefferson, Orlando, Jr., Ki'Aunjanae, Laila, Destiny, Anastasia, Tierra, Curtis, Montana, De'ja', Brhee, Braelin, Brynn Kristopher, Zoe, Zadah, Zion, Aderona, Zyleeah, Davoughn, Chloe, Trenton, Adele, Taliyah, Sean, Jaylen, Joshua, Farrah, Eva, Dakota, Layla, Hope, Isaiah, Isaac, Zaden, Keldon, Zanovia, Kalonnie, Sparrow and Tieon.
He is a retired US Navy Veteran and retired from SCDDSN Coastal Center.
