Mr. James B. Ravenel, Jr., 74, of North Charleston, SC entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 4, 2021.

The relatives of Mr. Ravenel will celebrate his life on Saturday, October 9, 2021 10:00 AM at Greater Zion AME Church, 4174 Highway 17 N., Awendaw, SC 29429.

Mr. Ravenel is survived by his wife, Mrs. Katie Ravenel; children: James L. Ravenel, III, Jerome Ravenel and Jason Ravenel; siblings: Patricia Brinson, Marcia Edwards, Rosalind Brown (Howard), Al R. Ravenel (Clara) and Timothy Ravenel (Kathy); sisters and brothers-in-law: Mary Cobb, Linda Utley (Ananias), Brenda Herman and Vernard Herman; and a host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Mr. James C., Sr. and Mrs. Helen Ravenel and brother, Mr. Vincent Ravenel.

Viewing for Mr. Ravenel will be on Friday, October 8, 2021 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at The Rev. Bryan McNeal, Sr. Memorial Chapel, 4129 Highway 17 N., Awendaw, SC 29429.

Mr. Ravenel was a retired US Army Veteran. He also retired from The Hill Rom.
