Mrs. Gloria Stokes, 79, of the Snowden Community of Mt. Pleasant, SC entered eternal rest on Thursday, May 25, 2023. She leaves to cherish her memories her children: Ronald Stokes and Orlando Stokes; grandchildren: Ajanay Stokes, Britney Stokes and Shanice Z. Stokes; siblings: Frank Jefferson, Vivian Gethers (Kenneth); Phillip Jefferson, Jr. (Lillie), Judy Tolley, Elijah Jefferson, Kenneth Jefferson, Troy Jefferson (Denise) and Karen Jefferson; sister-in-law: Karen Jefferson, and Carrie Stokes; brothers-in-law: Reverened Robert J. Stokes (Victoria), Joseph Stokes (Ruthie), Lawrence Stokes, III (Martha) and Navarro Middleton; aunts: Ida Jefferson and Pearl Owens and a host of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Leroy Stokes; parents: Phillip Jefferson, Sr. and Virginia S. Jefferson; and siblings: Rosabell McKinney, Pernell Jefferson and Jennifer Middleton.

She was a Retired Central Sterile Supervisor, at Mt. Sinai Hospital, in New York.
