Evangelist Janie Lee Ladson, 86, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered eternal rest on June 25, 2025. She is survived by her children: Maurice Ladson (Debra), and Madlyn Capers; and grandchildren: Shavonne, Johnell, Wayne, Alicia, Jaleel, Hydaya, Lawerence, Chyrese and Marquel; and siblings: Hedy Jackson and Richardeen Scott (Pastor Nathaniel).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Minister James Ladson; parents: Charles Drayton and Rebecca Fordham; children: Morris Lee Ladson and Markchas Ladson; and siblings: Leroy Drayton, Charles Drayton, Anderson Drayton, Virginia Taylor, and Diane Word.
Public Viewing will be on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Holy Rock Community Church - 2515 Clements Ferry Rd. - Charleston, SC 29492.
Celebration of Life Service will be on Thursday, July 3, 2025, 11:00 AM at Holy Rock Community Church. Interment: Church Cemetery. The Service will be LIVE STREAMED via the Smith-McNeal Funeral Home FACEBOOK PAGE!
