Mr. Ernest L. Whiteside, Jr. (Tookie), 63, of Awendaw, South Carolina entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 12, 2022. The family will have a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the First See Wee Missionary Baptist Church - 5151 Highway 17 North - Awendaw, SC 29429. The Interment will follow in the church's cemetery. There will be a Walk-Thru viewing on Friday, May 13, 2022 at the Rev. Bryan McNeal, Sr. Memorial Chapel - 4129 Highway 17 North Awendaw, SC from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Mr. Whiteside is survived by his wife: Roberta Whiteside; son: Desmond Whiteside; grandchild: Legend Whiteside; siblings: Thelma (Leroy) Cromedy, Ray (Tina) Davis, Yvette (Sylvester) Simmons, Maria Whiteside, Tonya Whiteside, Ricky Whiteside and Alice (Donna) Whiteside; mother-in-law: Ruth Simmons; sisters-in-law: Bettye Simmons Weeks, Patricia Burrough (Luther) Kinloch; brothers-in-law: Larry (Oralee) Capers, Robert (Laura) Simmons, III and Kenneth (Sandra) Simmons; aunt: Evelyn (David) Cromedy, Thelma Washington and Julie (Edward) Goodwine; uncle: Herbert Whiteside; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Whiteside was a Dayporter at Laurel Hill Primary School.
