Mrs. Carmen Bernadette Nelson, 60, formerly of downtown Charleston and a beloved member of the 'Ten Mile" Community of Awendaw, SC, entered into eternal rest on September 7, 2026.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Chris Nelson; children: Chris Jamal Nelson, Brittany Nicole Nelson, and Byron Terrell Nelson; siblings: Donzella "Mickey" Washington, Pamela Washington, Felicia "Lisa" Washington, Ronda Mikell, and Cynthia Washington; aunts: Victoria "Delores" Washington, Doris Davis, Jacquelyn "Jackie" Simmons,and Linda Simmons (Franklin); uncle: James "Jimmy" Washington (Doris); and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Fannie Washington.
