Mrs. Betty Hazel, 66, of Awendaw, SC entered eternal rest on Monday, February 10, 2025.

Mrs. Hazel leaves to cherish her memories her father: James Geathers; children: Brandon Hazel and Ti'a Smith (Oscar); grandchildren: Maky'a Smith, Zaniah Smith and Asher Smith; siblings: Marvin Gathers (Angelee), Michael Geathers (Dorese), and Sarah Maxwell; sister and brothers-in-law: Chenitta Singleton, James Hazel, Jr., Bishop Johnson Hazel, Willie Hazel, and Tony Hazel; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Terry Hazel; mother: Josephine Geathers; brothers: Kenneth Geathers and James Geathers, Jr.; and her father and mother-in-law: James and Mildred Hazel.
Viewing for Mrs. Hazel will take place on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at the Rev. Bryan McNeal, Sr. Memorial Chapel - 4129 Highway 17 N.- Awendaw, SC. The Celebration of Life Service will take place on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Bethel AME Church - 464 Society Road - McClellanville, SC. The Interment will follow at Greater Zion AME Church Cemetery - 4174 Highway 17 N - Awendaw.

Mrs. Hazel was a retired Child Caregiver.
