He leaves to cherish his memories his wife: Phyllis Simmons; children: Dollie German, Yvonne Simmons and Wanda Nelson (Anthony); grandchildren: Giovanna Rivers, ZaKia Barrow, Shacoya Barrow, Donte' Richardson, Zuri Nelson and Anthony Nelson, Jr.; siblings: Melvin Simmons (Gloria), Mary Myers (Charles), Sally Mitchell, Robert Lee Simmons.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Arthur Simmons Sr. and Eliza Jane Simmons.
He worked in the Garment Industry.
