Mr. Anthony Leonard Gibbs, 67, entered eternal rest on Sunday, January 16, 2022. The family of Mr. Gibbs will have a Celebration of Life Service on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Smith-McNeal Funeral Chapel, 2119 Dorchester Road, North Charleston, SC. Interment: Beaufort National Cemetery, 1601 Boundary Street, Beaufort, SC. The Service will be Live Streamed via the Smith-McNeal Funeral Home Facebook Page. There will be a Walk-Through Viewing on Monday, January 31, 2022, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Smith-McNeal Funeral Home, 2119 Dorchester Road, N. Charleston, SC. Masks are required for ALL attendees. He is survived by his daughter: Laurice Gibbs Hymes (Tyrone); grandchildren: Jahmoni L. Brown, Collins T. Hymes, Lauren-Isabella Hymes; great grandchildren: Jakaiya Casey, Jahmiere Casey and Octaveus Mack; and a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph "Rufus" Gibbs and Mable Gibbs; daughter: Keysha Gibbs Bartley; siblings: Gloria Rollerson, Fredericka "Fredde" Gibbs, Ronald "Ronnie" Gibbs and Joseph "Brother" Gibbs, Jr. He was a Retired Merchant Seaman, Veteran--US Navy and Air Force Reserves.
