Mrs. Rosalee Gathers-Bryant

Mrs. Rosalee Gathers-Bryant, 89, of St. George, South Carolina entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 27, 2022. The family of Mrs. Gathers-Bryant will celebrate her life with a Service on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Smith-McNeal Funeral Chapel, 2119 Dorchester Rd., North Charleston, SC 29405. MASKS are required for ALL attendees. Obituary Rosalee Gathers-Bryant, the daughter of the late Jessie Brooks, Sr. and the late Jettie Brooks was born, June 18, 1932 in Shallotte, North Carolina. Rosalee received her education through the public schools of Charleston County. She was a 1973 graduate of Lincoln High Night School. She was a drywall finisher with Gathers Drywall from which she retired. Her hobbies included sewing and bowling. Missionary Rosalee Gathers-Bryant joined Prayer Changes Things Ministries in January 2008, where she served faithfully. On Thursday, January 27, 2022, Rosalee Gathers-Bryant departed this life and began her new life with God in the Kingdom of Heaven. Rosalee was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. James Gathers, Sr.; father: Jessie Brooks, Sr.; mother: Jettie Brooks; daughters: Barbara Gathers Eaddie and Patricia Gathers McKenzie; son: Ivey Lee Gathers, Sr.; grandsons: Richard McKenzie and George B. Mullen, IV; brothers: Avery Vaught and Jessie Brooks, Jr.; sisters: Reather Claridy, Leila Starks and Evelyn Claridy. Rosalee leaves to cherish fond memories, her children: Clara Gathers Bellamy (late Arthur), Judie Gathers Jenkins (Bobby); James E. Gathers, Jr. (Jacqueline), Nathaniel Gathers, Joseph (Margaret) Gathers, Peter Eaddie, Sr., Cynthia (Joseph) Tindall, Rebecca Paige, Martha Edwards and Isaac Bryant; brother-in-law: Leon (Pamela) Porcher; sisters-in-law: Anna Gause, Emily McNeil, Martha (Jerry) Phillips, Annabell Porcher and Mae Porcher. She also leaves to cherish fond memories, her grandchildren: Binks Devon Bellamy, Chrystal Gathers, Ivey Gathers, Jr., Kristoff Gathers, Mary McKenzie, Rose McKenzie, James McKenzie, Jr., Shirley McKenzie, Johnnell (Nidria) Brown, Ebonee (Hakim) Lee, Demetria Simmons, Qushonda (Bobby) Williams, Shanequa Simmons, Bobby Jenkins, Jr., Silena (Soya) White, Janice (Kendall) White, James Bryant, Cassandra Gathers, Nathaniel Earl Sarvis, Kevin Gathers, Cassandra Gathers and Kandice Gathers; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She is survived by her children: Clara Gathers Bellamy, Judie Gathers-Jenkins (Bobby), James Edward Gathers (Jacqueline), Nathaniel Gathers and Joseph Gathers (Margaret); grandchildren: Binks Devon Bellamy, Mary McKenzie, Rose McKenzie, Shirley McKenzie, James McKenzie, Jr., Johnell P. Brown (Nidria), Ebonee D. Lee (Hakim), Crystal Gathers, Ivey L. Gathers, Jr., Kristoff Reese, Silena White (Solya), Janice White (Kendall), Cassandra Gathers, Peter Eaddie, Jr., Nathaniel Sarvis, Kevin Gathers, Candice Gathers and Cassandra Gathers. She was preceded in death by her parents and children: Ivey Gathers, Sr., Patricia Gathers McKenzie and Barbara Gathers Eaddie.
